And they reassure you, Whisper soft words of encouragement. But nothing stops the feeling,
A groaning pit of pus in the belly, Souring your appetite for life's richer foods, And your mind for life's richer pleasures.
Why oh why is this feeling so strong? Can the youthful exuberance of love hold
Its constant sway over my desires and dreams.
